Chris Alando
Chris Alando is a macroeconomist with experience in both the public and private sectors. He has worked with client governments, corporates, partners, parliaments and Civil Society in 76 countries since 1996. In 2004, he was awarded by the World Bank Institute for his contributions to macroeconomic policy and theory. He has helped review health sector and HIV strategies in 47 countries. He received his economics/statistics and French degree in 1999 from Moi and Kenyatta Universities and post graduate qualifications in Macroeconomic Management and Policy from the World Bank Institute, Washington DC in 2003. He also holds an MBA from USIU (Africa)/ Solbridge (South Korea), and other business certifications from Harvard Business School (US). He was lead consultant for East Africa’s Sustainable UHC Financing Strategy 2018-2023. He previously consulted at the Office of The President and Office of the Prime Minister in Kenya and was an advisor to Ministries responsible for Finance and Ministries responsible for Health in the 16-member country Southern African Development Community. He is the current CEO of Globesolute Corporation. He is fluent in Kiswahili, English, French, Luo and reads Portuguese.
